     Gracious Heavenly Father, thank You for the blessed new week. 
     Lord, strengthen us by Your Spirit as we journey through this Holy week. Let the lessons we meditated during the Lent remain in our hearts and guide us in the days ahead.
     Lord, thank You for sending Your Son on our behalf who took on human flesh and suffered the worst kind of death.
     Lord, we have nothing to boast about ourselves before Your sacrifice. It's only in Christ that we can boast of.
     Lord, while You sought pardon for our sins, we denied You. We fell prey to the weakness of our flesh. Pardon us.
     Lord, You carried us close to Your bosom when we were down  and comforted us. We in turn kissed to betray and fled away from You and yielded to satan's plan.
     Lord, with deep regret in our hearts, we beg Your pardon. You are our Redeemer and Saviour .  Strengthen us by Your Spirit and lead us through the week.
     In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
