     Gracious Heavenly Father,  our (my) ever forgiving God, we (I) thank You for this blessed day.
     Lord, strengthen us (me) by Your Spirit as we (I) attempt to get rid of  anger, slander and hatred towards our (my) brethren. Relieve us (me) from the pain of living with bitterness and unforgiveness that can poison our (my) soul and destroy us (me).
     Lord, in our weakness, we (I) do not even attempt to practice forgiveness. Let every kind of hatred and malice that we (I) consciously attempt to bring against anyone be cast away from our (my) mind(s).. May we (I) not be quick to judge others so that we are (I am) not judged but forgiven.  
     Lord, touch every family and community and fill them with calmness, patience, tranquility and stillness. Cast away all the sickness and bring healing upon them. 
     In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
