     Gracious Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing us to the close of this week. 
     Lord, we come to You this morning, with godly sorrow that arises from truly realising how our sins have offended You. 
     Lord, strengthen us to turn away from evil schemes, wicked thoughts and moral corruption. Help us to align our inner self with You. 
     Lord, let Your Word guide us to differentiate godly grief that leads to repentance and salvation, and the worldly sorrow that brings death. 
     Lord, help us in our weakness, as we attempt to make the change within us. Let this Lent not pass by as just another season. Instead, help us experience the spiritual renewal and repentance within us.
     In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
