    Gracious Heavenly Father, thank You for this blessed day. 
    Lord, on this "International Day of the Girl Child," we thank You for all the girl children in our families and in the society. 
     Lord, may we uphold their dignity and empower them to play the rightful role in the society. May we not ignore their voice but recognize their potential and support their aspirations, and celebrate their achievements.
     Lord, may we advocate for their rights and well-being to create a better world for all the girl children; where every girl can reach her full potential.
     Lord, we pray of every girl child, who are victims of sexual abuse, harassment, child labour, and are refused education, freedom to express and a hygienic dwelling. Grant them the safety and security from all these challenges and forces.
     Lord, thank You for acknowledging their faith and assuring them to fulfill their desires. Clothe them with Your strength and dignity. 
     In Jesus'  name we pray,  Amen.
