     Gracious Heavenly Father, thank You for this worship Sunday.
     Lord, as we celebrate "Mother's Day", we come before Your presence with gratitude for giving us the precious gift of 'mother'.
     Lord, thank You for the sanctification of motherhood by Your Son Jesus Christ through every stage of life, even to the death on the cross, giving all mothers the true value with joy that sustains them. 
     Lord, pour out Your Spirit and bless them, as they fulfill their highest calling of being a mother. Let the example of their faith and love shine forth to the world. 
     Lord, let every mother, especially single mothers who put their family first and struggle to provide for their children, be surrounded, protected and strengthened by You. 
     Lord, we also pray for the foster mothers, new mothers, and the 'mother- to- be'. Guide them through each step, as they walk through their motherhood. 
     Lord, we remember and pray for the life of all the mothers who have entered into eternal rest. Thank You for their life, that guided and nurtured us, with love and care. 
     Lord, thank You for promising us Your comforting presence like a mother always. Let the truest joy and grace that comes from Your presence surround us always.
