Gracious Heavenly Father, we come before You on the last day of the ninth month, with a thankful heart.
Lord, we thank You for the gift of life and for the many great blessings You have bestowed upon us, despite our rebelling nature and our sinful pride.
Lord, pardon us for the times we have forgotten Your countless benefits, Your ever enduring mercy, healing and restoration of our physical and spiritual being.
Lord, open our eyes today to see and remember all the good You have done, and let our heart overflow with grateful praise.
Lord, may we be conscious of the truth that our inner self is being renewed each day, though our outer self may waste away.
Lord, may we not carry any of the past failures or losses to the new month we are to enter, but submit all our needs and desires into Your divine care – our Rock and our Refuge.

In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
