A Small Morning Family Prayer

31/01/2022
Gracious Heavenly Father, thank You for this blessed morning. Thank You for waking us up healthy and safe on this new day.
Lord, as we enter a new week, may we find favour in Your sight that will be far better and greater than our past. Make a way where there seems to be no way.
Lord, we may, in our weakness go astray as we face each challenge and temptation ; be it at home, at work, and in our other transactions. Pardon us and help us to overcome such situations.
Lord, may we not retreat in our faith, but abide in You. Hold our hand, and walk us through, so that, together we can face tomorrow.
Lord, thank You for the blessings You have in store for each one of us. May we be confident and conscious that if we have faith, "we will receive".
In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.Today’s Promise:
Jesus, “and whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.” Matthew 21:22 -

Gracious Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing us to the close of this week.
Lord, thank You for guiding us and giving us hope through the week. You desired to hear from us and to speak to us each morning. It was not our mental fortitude but Your Spirit that strengthened all of us to face spiritual, emotional, and physical stress. You were by our side always.
Lord, thank You for all the blessings showered upon us and for the hedge of protection around us that saved us through many dangers and snares.
Thank You for walking ahead of us and making the crooked paths straight.
Lord, refresh us and all those who toiled through the week to earn their livelihood. Give them rest and a peaceful weekend. Let their earnings be sufficient enough to meet their needs. Provide them as You provided our needs and wants.
Lord, we trust in Your plans that are designed for us to prosper. You are an awesome God.....Let Your will alone be done in our lives.
In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.Today’s promise:
I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.” – Jeremiah 31:25 -
FORGIVENESS

Gracious Heavenly Father, our (my) ever forgiving God, we (I) thank You for this blessed day. Lord, strengthen us (me) by Your Spirit as we (I) attempt to get rid of anger, slander and hatred towards our (my) brethren. Relieve us (me) from the pain of living with bitterness and unforgiveness that can poison our (my) soul and destroy us (me). Lord, in our weakness, we (I) do not even attempt to practice forgiveness. Let every kind of hatred and malice that we (I) consciously attempt to bring against anyone be cast away from our (my) mind(s).. May we (I) not be quick to judge others so that we are (I am) not judged but forgiven. Lord, touch every family and community and fill them with calmness, patience, tranquility and stillness. Cast away all the sickness and bring healing upon them. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.Today's Promise: Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. Gracious Heavenly Father, thank You for this blessed day. We thank You for all the goodness You have provided us in abundance.
Lord, we commend all our political leaders, bureaucrats and heads of our administrative, financial, healthcare and other services.
Lord, give them the heart to put the welfare of the people first to draw effective plans and execute for our nation's prosperity. Let Your wisdom prevail upon them and become better, spiritually, mentally, and physically as they serve the nation effectively.
Lord, we pray for ourselves. We understand the responsibility given to us to pray for their welfare. Touch their hearts so that they may spearhead godliness and holiness in this nation.
Lord, we humble ourselves as Your children, and seek Your face. Hear us ; forgive our sins and heal our land from pain, immorality, fear, and depression.
Lord, may we stand as Your witnesses in this nation and walk in a way that is pleasing to You. Let Your name alone be glorified.

Gracious Heavenly Father, we enter this day of Your last supper on this world. As we commemorate and partake in the Holy Eucharist, we introspect ourselves and confess our (my) sins with a truthful heart.
Lord, You set Yourself as a role mode for humility and humbleness, by washing the feet of Your disciples. But, we (I) have not reflected the same to our (my) neighbour. Pardon us (me) for this wrongdoing.
Lord, we (I) did not reflect this humility to our (my) neighbour on many occasions and was not true to our (my) prayer of confession we (I) offered every time we (I) joined the fellowship through Holy Communion, that," we (I) have sinned against You and our (my) neighbour."
Pardon us (me) for this betrayal.
Lord, may we (I) understand Your love and forgiveness You bought us (me) by Your death and resurrection. Give us (me) the confidence that You forgave our (my) trespasses. You being our Helper, may we (I) reflect what You have taught us (me) and be diligent in our (my) actions and words and be more like You.
Lord, let all the meditation and the learnings we received during this Lent not be forgotten and ended as we complete this season. Help us by Your Spirit to retain and reflect in the days to come.
In Jesus' name, we pray Amen.Today's promise:
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins.... 1 John 1:9
